Subject: RE: Headaches after racesThere was a thread on this site (or perhaps it was the Nashville Striders website ) a week or so ago about this very subject. The final word was to begin hydrating 3-4 days prior to your event. Plus our bodies need to be well hydrated all the time, so all the more reason to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Constantly. I've struggled with this problem as well, drinking a Coke after the race seems to help, as well as plenty of other fluids. The caffiene is supposed to help. If I'm not well hydrated before, I usually wind up taking a generic migraine medicine, an aspirin/acetominophen/caffiene combo. |
