I'm in the same boat with a sprint in 2 weeks (Aug 8th-Loggerhead ). I got sick this week, but I was planning on just cutting-back to one workout per day and go pretty solid intensity all week. Next week, my plan is like this backwards from race day since your race is on Sunday whereas mine is on Saturday. Race Day (RD ) (RD -1 ) Ride 5 miles, Run 1 mile brick (RD -2 ) half a Track workout ~3 miles of speed work (RD -3 ) half-hour swim, half-hour bike with transition. (RD -4 ) ~3 mile run and OWS at lunch (RD -5 ) 1 Hour bike The day-before brick is really to make sure I have all my stuff co-located. The OWS during the week is important because you don't go into race-day having not swam OWS since your last race. Good luck! Have fun! |
