I'd really like to, but I have IM Louisville the following week. I may go watch instead.

Too long for me right now. I am doing my first tri Sat. in Plattsmouth.
If all goes well, thinking of doing the Yankton tri on Labor Day weekend.

Planning on doing it. Did it the first year and was less than impressed but it's close so what the heck. Hopefully they've improved the event.

I hear the event will be much better than the last 2 years. The big complaint has been the bike course. This year, the bike course is 3 loops around the lake and the run is on the trail on an out and back. I guess all our complaints last year paid off.

With the bike looping around the lake on the road, and the run on the trail, you won't get a flatter triathlon! Good news for me on the run!!!

I'm thinking I might do this one this year. I've done it the last two years as the bike leg on a team. I am SO glad they are finally changing the bike course this year.

I'm in.  Anybody know for sure how long the run is?  The registration flier I got says 6.2 miles but the website says 3.1, I think.  Looking forward to the race.

I will be there.  I had my first race at Papillion a few weeks ago and I am now looking forward to a little longer race.  The longer swim will be interesting for me and you are right, this course will be extremely flat.

I look forward to meeting some of you that will be there.

Let's all meet up somewhere at the race. I'd like to put some faces/names with the BT screen names

Oh, and I'm sure the run will be 6.2. They wouldn't screw up the registration form....I hope!

I'm in as well. I'll probably wear my Papio tri shirt from this year (turquoise blue). I'm also excited that they changed the bike course. That was near suicide last year.

I'm hoping they update the website and show the routes.  The site has said "Coming Soon" for like 3 months.

shirt, with Xtreme Wheels info on the back...

Probably easier to spot the orange Lemond w/ orange bar tape

Hey there everyone,
My husband and I will be there also. I will be cheering you all on from the side lines and he will be taking the pictures. Laughing
I have no clue what I will be wearing but I will let you all know before the race. Hopefully we can all get introduced to each other. Also if anyone would like pictures just let me know I'm sure Jeff, my husband would be more than happy to take some.Smile

Ah  can't decide if I want to do this one.  The swim and bike aren't too bad but the run.... (although I ran 6 miles for the 1st time yesterday) I hate to enter the race if I can't do the distance without walking.  The reviews don't look that good but it looks they are revamping the event.

There isn't anything wrong with walking when needed (I'm sure I'll probably walk some).  And, great job running 6 yesterday!! That's a big accomplishment...It's a lot of fun when you know you're improving

I have a relative that will be in town for this, but he is interested in doing only the run portion... If anyone would like to team up (or know someone who does), please shoot me a note.

Thanks!

My hubby signed up and I'll be there to cheer him on. My bike and swim training have been hard to squeeze in over the last few weeks. Not sure what I'll be wearing yet, but I'll try to cheer loud for everyone that I can!

Looking forward to the new bike route.  I enjoyed the run around the lake last year.  Too bad that they couldn't do both the bike and run around the lake, which would consolidate the aid/water stations.  Well, at least the run is moving to the tight quarters of the bike trail - now we can really step on the gas pedal on the bike.
