Subject: Charity Numbers for New York and Disney Marathons
My good friend (and coach) is the Joints in Motion coordinator for the Arthritis Foundation and he has charity numbers for the New York and Disney marathons.  Below is the information:

The Arthritis Foundation is recruiting runners and walkers to participate in the 2009 ING New York City Marathon and the 2010 Disney World Marathon (full and half marathons) as members of our Joints in Motion team. The Joints in Motion program is designed to guide people of all ages and fitness levels through a training program to complete a marathon. Approximately 80% of all Joints in Motion athletes have never run or walked a marathon before, but with our careful guidance and encouragement, nearly all of them go the 26.2 mile distance and cross the finish line. The prestigious 2009 New York City Marathon will be the largest marathon race in history and the 2010 Disney World Marathon and Half Marathon is certainly the happiest one on earth!

In exchange for fundraising, the Joints in Motion program provides its athletes with entry into these infamous races as well as professional coaching, weekly group walks or runs, nutrition, training and gear clinics and much more. We handle the details so all you need to worry about is getting in shape, raising funds for arthritis research, and experiencing the excitement of participating in a marathon.

Joints in Motion is a team of philanthropic athletes participating in road racing, cycling, walks, triathlon, hiking, and other sports.  These athletes through sweat and hard work serve as a focal point for the community to bring awareness, advocacy, and funds to help those who live with the challenge of Arthritis.  There are 46 million Americans with Arthritis - some are Joints in Motion athletes!  We are hope in motion - come join the movement.
