Patriots Events/Colonial Parkway

If anybody didn't know, the Colonial Parkway near Jamestown is closed due to a boat hitting a bridge support...that means you cannot bike from Jamestown down to other areas of the parkway directly since said bridge is closed.

It also means that the final leg of the three Patriots tris will not be using the Parkway for the course.  That is wonderful news if you don't like getting heat stroke, however, might be trickier to organize for the event coordinator.  Setupevents has the info.

I'm guessing that we will be using parts of the Capital to Capital trail, possibly the wooded/dirt path parts as well (near Jamestown High School) for the run since it will be easier to avoid traffic problems like that.  That is just a guess.  It will be difficult to find 13 light traffic miles otherwise, especially compared to using the Colonial Parkway.
