Subject: RE: How important is it for wheels to be "true"?True means that the wheel is not out of alignment from being perfect side to side, ie. the wheel doe not wobble (move from side to side as you spin the wheel ), or that the wheel is perfectly round (no movement up and down as you spin the wheel ). So, yes it is important. A couple of MM off is not that bad for a HED3, but you may need to open up your brakes ever so slightly so you're not rubbing. If it's 2mm (which a couple should mean ), then I would say you're ok, if it's more than that, you may experience wobble, especially at higher speeds, which is quite scary. |
