Oh god, I just bought a polar hr monitor last week for $130.  I didn't even look at the gps units, I figured they were $300 or more...

I just recently bought one from amazon.com for about 150.00, i thought that was good so i jumped on it i guess i should have waited and shopped around.

Damn!  I literally just got my 305 on Saturday from Amazon.  Still a decent price at $160 w/ free shipping and HRM but still!

Geez I work at best buy and thats cheaper than my employee cost. I just bought a forerunner 50 from amazon but it sucks so I'm sending it back and buying the 305.

I bought and returned two sucky Garmin 50's from Amazon before finally biting the bullet to get the 305.  It is 100% worth it.  SO much better.

Don't feel bad. I tried to buy one from best buys, but you can't get one at 129.99 it is online only, but they won't ship it. I was a little pissed with them yesterday on the phone.

Can you do in store pickup? you can sometimes get the online price still if you do it through the website for in store pickup.

This sale price is for store pick-up only.  You can't get it shipped to you.  Of course, all the stores in the 3 major cities near me do not have these in stock, so no $129 garmin for me. 

Don't let that stop you.  My local store showed none in stock online, but I called and they had one in stock.  I had them put it on hold for me and went down and picked it up.  For $130, I couldn't say no.  :-)

For anyone in the Humble, TX area I called BB they had 3 yesterday.

there are several at the BB around me.  Actually going soon to pick one up for an out of town friend.  I could pick up a few more and ship...I don't want to be a sucker though.  Any suggestions on how I get paid back??

TIP: Call and check if it is in, the website said there was not in stock, called the store and the had some in.  The sales person said these are going fast and not holding the items.

Again I work there and if the website has a price we match it in the store unless it's "online only" which it is not.

Ok I've been going back and forth for the past 3 days trying to decide if I wanted to actually buy it but i figure for this price I can always resell it and get most of my money back if I don't want it after a few weeks (oh the piles of stuff I have from saying that..)

Just got my confirmation email 2 seconds ago saying its ready for pick up so they had it in stock.. sweet!

I haven't used one since HS when I was swimming and racing mtbs, but I know the advantages of having and using one properly so this will be good to have.
