Madison police are going to be ticketing cyclists who don't obey traffic laws

Traffic laws are traffic laws. i have absolutely no problems with this.

I think I would like to see more education/action in regards to traffic laws for both drivers and cyclists.  Some behavior by drivers is awful and as a car is much bigger than a cyclist it can have a really bad result.

I think by emphasizing the cyclists in the enforcement it could make the problems worse.  Reading some of the comments below the article was a little disturbing.

Well, i would think that between articles in the paper and people being ticketed, that does count as education. That old line about ignorance of the law not being an excuse still applies, i think.

As for the comments... i tend to not read those. i like my blood pressure to stay low.
