Subject: Inaugural Staten Island sprint tri
Hi all,

Longtime BT lurker and infrequent poster. I would really love to do this race put on by NY Triathlon (Aug 30):

However, I don't have access to a car. I do live very close to the SI ferry terminal on the Manhattan side. Does anyone know how close Midland Beach is to the SI ferry exit? This race sounds like it would be fun.

I could be wrong but this looks like it's in the same place as Flat as a Pancake. I rode to the ferry from Pancake and while it wasn't the most scenic or nice ride, it wasn't horrible, I think 20 minutes or so.
