Subject: RE: Any Boston Hashers hereAs far as hashing, there are chapters everywhere and they're all a bit different. Boston's an interesting revolving group, prob a little younger in age than the typical hash due to the number of colleges in the area, but some really good folks as well as some obnoxious kids as will be expected with the promises of cheap beer. I prefer running with them in the cooler months as it's a more intimate, well contained group. Nice summer eves can draw bigger crowds of fair-weather runners (40+ ) which can get a little rowdy and be somewhat frattish, but every time is a bit different. I've run with them since 2005, but not as frequently as I used to. I usually pick by who is laying trail to see if it'll be challenging and who it'll draw. The two hares tonight are experienced and put together some good and sometimes challenging trails. They likely will not get the pack lost and frustrated and will probably have sought out a scenic spot or two on the water for the beer check, which is always appreciated. I might go tonight if I weren't in desperate need of a swim before a longer race this weekend. Here's a BH3 trail I recently used my Garmin on: A Typical Boston HashHave fun, and let me know if you have any other questions. On-on! Edited by running4beer 2009-08-05 1:21 PM
