Ugh, that STINKS! My ankle tendonitis was from too much punting practice as a soccer keeper in college
(thanks, Coach...
), so I can't help much there. But, I've been where you are.
First, remember it WILL get better. You will NOT always be injured.
Second, do
every part of your PT. Ice as often as your PT tells you, heat when you should, do all the exercises, etc. Yes, it sucks, but really, they tell us to do this stuff for a reason.
Third, if your PT tells you to lay off certain activities, lay off. Taking x weeks out of your schedule now may avoid taking YEARS off later.
Fourth, find
(and ask for
) stuff you CAN do. Heh, triathletes often don't do a strong kick in swimming - so work the living daylights out of your pull, perfect your stroke, get that body roll exactly right. Swim as much as you reasonably can/should, and really get that pulled together. Make it your goal to see y gains by the end of the month
(drop your 100 time, do a continuous 1500, whatever
), again within reasonable limits. By having a goal in an activity you CAN do, you will shift the focus off the stuff you CAN'T do.
Good luck - you can DO it!
