Went for a 3 mile ride this am in the rain with my navigator trek bike and geesh am I tired - headaches and all.......have a long way to go before I get in shape I guess...........
Hey, the most important thing in your post isn't that you're tired and have a headache, which could really be from any number of things--maybe your sleep wasn't so good last night or the humidity in the rain didn't agree with--it's the fact that you even got out and got on the bike. Be proud of that! That's the first step.
BUT....You did it! And it will only get easier with time, training, and a lack of rain on your next ride. Make sure you're well hydrated to help ward off those headaches. Keep up the hard work and it will come.
thank you for the positive comments - I did the same ride today in 30 minutes - prob 10 minutes faster than the other day - with no rain and no headaches----maybe I can get that road bike next year after I can do some 10-20 mile jaunts wihout feeling SO outta shape...
