Thanks for your help - Did my first 5k.

Thanks for all of your tips and encouragement in my thread last week about my first 5K this weekend.  The race went well and I really enjoyed it.  It was a very competitive group overall with a couple of times in the low teens and a lot in the mid to upper teens.  I came in at 27:01, about 1:45 away from 3rd place in my AG although my AG wasn't as fast and competitive as some of the others.

A lot of people told me to be very careful about pacing myself in the beginning so I did and the first mile was really good.  I felt awesome at the beginning mile 2.  However, at that point I sped up a bit too much and paid for it from 1.75-2.6ish.  Oh well, live and learn.  I forgot to hit any buttons on my Garmin other than start but it says my average pace was 8:46 including several brief walk breaks.
