Subject: RE: HEART RATE MONITORStri@50 - 2009-08-17 12:31 PM I have done 3 sprint tris and want to do a couple of Olympic distance tris next year. I have been reading about HRM's and am totally confused. I want an "entry" level HRM that will give me the basics during my training without getting too technical. Any help/ideas is greatly appreciated! I picked up the Polar F4 from a local Dicks Sporting Goods when I started training. It is very basic but has been very reliable and consistant for me, even in the pool. One thing I wish I could do would be to see elevation changes graphed with my heart rate and speed so I can see things like whether I either lowered my heart rate or increased my pace on the same hills over time. Then again, the Polar was only around $80 and I had a $25 coupon. It also works in the pool so for the money, I'm happy with it as a starter. |
