Vassar Triathlon Anyone?

I'm doing it, and it will be my first one.  I drove the course last week, and it looks pretty good - lake swim, 2-7 mile loops for the bike with a couple hills, but not bad, and an out and back 3 mile run.   Hopefully it will be well run, since it's their first time having it.

I'm doing this one along with some friends and my wife.  Should be a fast course.  Since I live right around the corner I'm luckily that I've been able to do the bike course a few times.  Definitely easier than harriman and Lake Welch Drive.  This will be my first and I think its a good one to start out with.

Just finished a half Marathon in Michigan so looking forward to this race in a couple weeks.

I'm glad to hear the bike course is kinder and gentler than Harriman.  Although I would venture to guess most courses would be.   

I'm still hoping to compete during this race but yesterday I managed to sprain my right wrist pretty badly after tripping over a friggin suitcase left on the floor.  From now on I vow to unpack after vacation asap!  We'll see how it feels in a couple of days. 

I just signed up a few minutes ago.  It will be my first, I wanted to get one in this year after all the time I've spent training the past year.

Thanks...got a PR of 1:47  not bad.  Would love to met up with fellow BT'ers at this race.

It's Friday and it's cold and windy in the Hudson Valley, I sure hope the weather changes for the better by tomorrow.  I'm still trying to figure out the logistics for this race as it's my first and if some crappy weather is thrown in I'm not sure what I'm going to do as far as clothes are concerned.
