Subject: Any suggestions for swim classes?
Hi everyone, been on this site for about 6 months now and although I am generally quite active I recently decided to challenge myself with my first race/ half marathon in Vegas(Rock 'n Roll) of all places! I want to make it a fun experience and sure it will be. Anyone else going?

Also, I want to try out some swim lessons as I really would say I don't know how. Properly with bilateral breathing anyways. Took private lessons which were a bit advanced for me as I have no technique. I really just need a class that gives a person some drills to practice on....any suggestions as to where to take classes?

I know this post is old but I  recommend Peter and Tyler at Seahiker.

I only just started the course and it is very technique weighted. I am doing the twice a week course which gives enough time to practice what is learned in class. I know they offer complete courses over a weekend but I could not imagine cramming that much in without the time to practice.

The two a week is the one I'm looking at as well, I'll be interested in how the course goes so keep us posted here if you can.

Thanks so much for all the info...much appreciated! To tell you the truth I have really put swimming on the backburner as every time I went I would just end up getting frustrated. I looked at the site and am thinking of joining myself...who knows, it may make me "like" swimming after all! Keep us all posted on how the classes go for you  ;-)

Dean Stanton also offers a strokes improvement course.
