I'm a hobby powder coater looking into doing it for money, building up my business slowly. Do you folks think about having your metal bike parts PC'ed?
Kind of niche market, but possibly doable.

I'm thinking of taking my current wally world bike this winter and PCing it copper and some other trim color, possibly silver. It'd stand out, thats for sure.

Can you powder coat aluminum and steel parts?  Do yo have a sand blaster to remove the old paint first?

I have always thought it would look cool if my aero bars were powder coated to match my bike.

There are a couple places around Atlanta tha do it. It won't boom your business, but you could surely pick up some extra work PCing bike parts.

I used to powder coat as well.  There are some really cool candy colors which would look awesome on a bike.  I once powdercoated a supercharger candy red and it looked sick!

It would be cool to see a nicely done up tri bike.

To be sure, building a bigger oven to accomodate bike (bicycle and motorycle) frames is on my to-do list this fall/winter.
Pretty much, if its metal, it can be powdercoated. I do have access to a sandblaster.

I don't think you could build a full business out of it, but it could definitely be a decent sideline to pay for entry fees, etc. I've thought about it before, it would be cool.
