I have completed 2 sprint tris this summer, they have been fun. The Tugaloo olympic tri (GA)  is in 2 weeks. I can complete all the distances but have am worried about all 3 back to back, do you think I can finish under the time limits. I am a middle age female in good shape. I would really like to end the season with a longer event.

What is your longest run/bike/swim (individually) to date in training? How'd your sprints go, did you finish "comfortably"?

Longest run was 13 miles, bike 22 miles, swim 1.3 miles. Completed the sprints at 1.45 minutes, easy no problems.

If you feel comfortable with the swim, you'll finish.  Go for it and have fun!!

Finishing the swim comfortably will keep you in the race, but overdoing it on the bike will cause more problems.

If your longest bike ride is 22 miles, you're probably going to find an Olympic Tri to be difficult.  You will finish it, but the 10k run at the end will seem a lot longer because you will have just finished your longest bike ride.

I'd try to boost your cycling miles before the event.  At least a couple of 30-40mile rides, more if you've got the time.
