Subject: Inside and upper knee cap pain on bike
I have been increasing my bike mileage lately and have been experiencing knee pain both on my upper and inner kneecap. Interestingly, the pain subsides after about 3 hours on the bike which makes it even more strange. I have not had my bike professionally fitted but will likely be headed in that direction. The pain becomes worse when I get into the aero position (especially early in the ride). Does this sound familiar to anyone?Thanks.

Yes, this sounds like a fit problem. Generally speaking, pain in the front of the knee is caused by a seat that is too low or too far forward.
