Subject: IM 2010 registration
Tossing around the idea about signing up for IMMOO next year and I am wondering what the procedure is this year? Two years ago when I signed up I just brought my 1 year old daughter and stood in line to get a spot. Paid one month later on Active.com. Anyone know how it will work this year when you volunteer?

If you volunteer this year, you will be allowed (wearing your volunteer shirt (and wristband if given one)) to meet with all the other volunteers that plan on signing up on Mon. morning.  You will be allowed to the front of the line or have a special line in front of the other persons that are attempting to sign up.

Also, if you are assisting the IM participant signup this Sat. morning, you may be allowed to signup after all the IM participants have signed up instead, beating out the Monday morning sign up (I did this last year).

Does anyone know if they make you pay when you sign up, or like Donna said, a month from now?

I'm volunteering this year and would like to get in and out quickly on Monday.

I emailed about this.  Here is their reply.  It sounds like you pay in full on site at the Monona Terrace:


Thank you for your email. Registration for athletes participating in the 2009 race will be on Saturday September 12 from 9am-11am. Registration for volunteers and general entry will be on Monday September 14 from 9am-11am (local race time). Lines begin to form early, so we recommend arriving early. The total cost of the registration will be $576.00 ($550 race entry + $26 Active.com processing fee) and must be paid in full via credit card at the time you register on-site. Registration will be located at the Monona Terrace.
