1st time riding in over 2 years

figured this story was good for a laugh.

The last time i was on a bike was over 2 years ago, the last time before that was about the same. So, it's safe to say my bike handling skills are non existent. Today, I went out with the intentions of tuning up my bike (successfully done I might add thanks to parktool) then going for a short 10 mile ride at the local trail. After tuning my bike I hoped on and immediately fell over because I couldnt push the pedal, after 10 minutes of checking the work I had done i realized the bike was in the largest gear DOH. Reset it, then road around in my col-de-sac for about 10 minutes getting my courage up. I headed off to the bike trail, upon arrival i realized it was after 5pm and the trail was packed with people. SOOO for my safety and specifically those who didnt also want to have their day ruined by little old 200lbs me I packed up the bike and ran instead. I was right about a mile out there was a family of 4 covering nearly the entire path. Will go back tomorrow when everyone is at work/school.

On a side note it's amazing how many people dont wear helmets, are they really that uncool?
