Spacing Issue

Subject: Spacing Issue

Not sure when exactly this started happening, but awhile back, I noticed that everytime, I try to make a list in a post, or hit enter to go down to the next line, it puts a double space in. So if I were to make a list, say for a recipe, there's gigantic space between each item. I'm not sure how to turn this off. Currently, my formatting is set to paragraph - only "address" seems to fix the spacing issue, but then everything is in italics, which is just as annoying as all caps or large colored text.

Any idea how I can fix this?

ETA: I know I can make a bulleted list to avoid the spacing issue,s but I know that other people can do what I can't in their posts, so there must be something wrong with my settings.

I have this too, so to avoid it I use the SHIFT button when using the ENTER button.

Another spacing issue question - I just got a mac. I type in a thread and use paragraphs, hit submit and it all shows up in one line. No formatting. Any suggestions?
