Inspires going to an unexpected day

I've noticed that when I post an inspire to someone's log or they respond to an inspire on my log, it seems like the inspires post to the date of the thread inception rather than the date the post was made. For example, I posted to jkron's blog a couple days ago(the 23rd) and he responded to it today, but it showed up on my log on the 23rd rather than the 25th. The end result is that if I see I have a new inspire in the top left of the screen, I potentially have to dig through several days of inspires to find the 'new' one. Is this by design?
