Subject: RE: TryCharleston Aquabike : Official Threadmxr746 - 2010-01-25 3:49 PM I put it in my race log, actually its the only thing in my race log, never did a tri before. I was glad to find an aquabike option this should be fun. I kind of wish there was a slightly shorter race for a first attempt, but I think by then I could be ready to give it a shot. I think the aquabike will be my only option because of foot problems- some stress fractures that finally healed up, plantar f. both feet for 9 months now, and recently mortons neuromas both feet. Wondering what to expect for water temperature as I have raynauds disease also and my fingers cant take extended cold.. Water temp in the pond shouldn't be too cold by May. If you do the sprint series, the water is warmer than a bath tub. Only cold one in the area (relatively speaking, of course)is usually East Cooper Tri since it is open water and early in the season. |
