Subject: Mac / Microsoft question?

Hey,

Anybody know if it's possible to run the Windoze version of Microsoft Office on a Mac under OSX Tiger?

I'm *this* close to throwing down for a Mac Mini to run my wife's business (shameless plug: http://www.marykay.com/glunderwd), but I don't really want to fork over the extra $400 just now for the Mac version of Office. I already own the Windows version...

Suggestions??

Not without some sort of PC emulation software like:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/virtualpc/virtualpc.aspx?pid=...

and with that you'll have to install both Windows itself and Ms Office inside the emulator. All in all you're probably better off buying the Mac version of office.

Or you could use another office suite, Open Office is free and fairly complete office suite available for may platforms (plus it can open many Microsoft Office documents):

Cool! I'm posting this from our new iMac G5. This is one sweeeeet computer!

And yeah, we went ahead and bought MS Office (educational version) for only $150.

Spiffy!

I'm kindof missing my scroll wheel, though. That'll take some getting used to.
