Pre-race routine:

I woke up early because the new puppy was whining to go outside! I had a bowl of oatmeal and some gatorade. Ran around outside for a couple of minutes with the puppy and then off to the race.
Event warmup:

This time I actually took some time to get in the water ahead of time...swam alittle and drowned the butterflies!

Good race Laura. Wow that's a great swim pace, yeah you should start more to the front, it seems like that's one of your strengths! It was a hot weekend, so don't be too critical of your biking and running. Running 9:17 per mile at the end of all that is pretty quick!

Nice race..I was there too...wish I had known you were racing...one day we will meet. You did great on the swim....yah...the run could have had more water stations...but that is FIRM...I bring my water with me. Are you doing Danskin? If so good warm up!! I think both the swim and run were short...but that's okay with me.

Great Job...you did excellant!
