2010 Billy the Kid Triathlon

Sumner Lake State Park, near Fort Sumner, NM.  Transition will be at the main boat ramp parking area on the west side of the lake.  The swim will be 400 meters in the open water and wet suits will be allowed.  The 10.5 mile bike ride will be on the paved road around the lake, over the dam, to the east boat ramp area, and back to the main boat ramp.  The 3.1 mile run will start from the transition area at the main boat ramp and go onto paved roads from the lake and out towards Puerto de Luna.  This will be one of the most scenic triathlons in New Mexico.  Packet pick up will be available on Friday night at the Fort Sumner High School Main gymnasium from 4:30-7 PM.  There will be a $7.00 spaghetti dinner hosted in the cafeteria of the same building.  The transition area at the lake will open at 5:30 AM and the race will begin promptly at 7 AM.  Awards will be at approximately 9 AM.  Your registration fee includes the one day entrance fee to the lake for one vehicle.  Return completed entry form(s) and payment to:

EACH RELAY MEMBER MUST COMPLETE A SEPARATE ENTRY FORM and PAY THE RELAY TEAM REGISTRATION FEE AS WELL AS THE USAT ONE DAY MEMBERSHIP FEE UNLESS A USAT MEMBER!  WAIVERS WILL BE SIGNED AT PACKET PICK-UP.
