Swim
Comments: Felt confident about swim. No problems other than to learn to keep mouth shut. What would you do differently?: Keep mouth shut. Lungs full of water at the start of the race tends to hamper breathing and sets overall mood of race. Transition 1
Comments: Felt good coming into T1. Not too tired for bike. What would you do differently?: Be quicker. Bike
Comments: Felt good. Good speed. What would you do differently?: Work on endurance & speed. Hill climbing needs improvement. Transition 2
Comments: Felt good. Legs not too shaky. What would you do differently?: Be quicker. Run
Comments: Calves & shins cramped up pretty bad at the start of the race. Was unable to concentrate on breathing, and tended to get panicked & winded very quickly. Not happy at all with run. What would you do differently?: Practice, practice, practice. Run is definitely my weak spot. Post race
Warm down: Walked around till HR calmed down. Drank water & gatorade. What limited your ability to perform faster: Inhalation of lake water at beginning of race & poor running ability. Checked out course & set-up of event. Visited bathroom about 5 times.
