Subject: RE: Just wondering... WoW. To me it sounds like you are restricting yourself way too much. I have a friend who did this, and is now aneroxic and it is a HUGE battle for all of us to battle right now.
Take a look at the Diet and Nutrition tab on this website. Then click on the link for the Daily Calories Intake Calculator tab about half way down the page. This helps you determine how many calories you should take in a day.
You still need to get enough fat in order to loose weight. I had been going through the same thing, but you gain WAY MORE weight if you restrict yourself too much. Why not be able to enjoy your food intake, eat SOME things you like, change up your meal plan and then loose weight.
I got in the habit of writing down everything I eat, what time I eat it and the write down the number of calories, fat, carbs, and protein. This way you keep an eye out on how much you are taking in daily, and then it gets you on the right track.
I also use http://www.calorieking.com and on this website it allows you to look up different foods and find out how many calories and how much fat each thing has. I find this very useful.
But I too would suggest for you to go to a family Dr. They should look at your throids and maybe they can help you design a HEALTHY eating plan. Let them know too, your goals for your triathlon and how much training you will be doing.
I hope this helps, and I hope you don't get headed down the wrong track with trying TOO HARD to loose weight, because in the end, it will be come a disease that will be a lifelong battle once it hits. |
