Tour De Mississippi (aka Mad Potter Omnium)

I finally did a real bike race this weekend. Actually 3 races over 2 days. Each race had awards and you got points on where you finished each race which were then added up for the Omnium (Overall Award). I raced in Category 5 B, which is for folks with little or no bike racing experience. The group had a good mix of triathletes and really experienced bikers who haven't raced before. Their were 34 people in the road race and 15 to 20 in the other 2 races. I got my first non relay award ever in the time trial (2nd place in the time trial) and crashed in the critterium (got up and finished no permenant damage to me or bike). I finished 4th overall thanks to the crash in the crit but I had a great time. Gotta get busy, 3 race reports to write!!!
