Pre-race routine:

Streching, hydrating. It was a very hot and humid day.
Event warmup:

Did some sprints just to losen up the quads, jumpies and more streching.

Comments:

I didnt get the negative split I wanted. But this was more of a fun race than anything.
What would you do differently?:

Better positioning on the starting line. But this wasnt that professional of a race, more of a fun race. Allot of 10+/min milers were lined up at the 6-7min/miler mark. I was still using a trathlon strategy for this race.
Post race
Warm down:

Walk back to the company tent (about 1/2 mile), streches. Thankfully they had ice to cool down, it was really hot at the end!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat and Humidity. Race temps were about 80-85 deg, with high humidity (approx 80-90%).

Event comments:

In general this is more of a fun race, and that goal was accomplished. Running with co workers was fun.

Course: Flat terrain on Jones Beach, Long Island. Pavement varried from rough concrete to asphalt. A nice little detour towards the beach at mile 2 therw everyone off gaurd

Good job!  I was at the one in Chicago (I didn't get to run in it because of some shin splints and a sprained ankle but was cheering on my wife) and it was really well organized.  I was impressed and look forward to running in it next year.
