Subject: Recollections of a former newb triathlete (now pro)Apologies, I am 'misrepresenting' myself by signing up for this site as I am not a true beginner, but really everyone was at some point, right? I have actually been a triathlete for nearly a decade and just this year registered with USAT as an 'elite' by virtue of my 2010 race at IM CDA, at the ripe old age of 35. I do not think I am the typical elite triathlete, and most people who meet this criteria opt to remain in the age group category, so indeed I feel very much like a beginner. But I actually have another reason for posting and registering here... As a new triathlete with BIG dreams and a desire to educate myself through the internet, I was very frustrated with the lack of first hand information related in a personal manner (with the exception of Gordo Byrn ). This year my intent is to blog about (and share ) my journey to lining up with the pros in 2011, past, present and future. http://criteriaf.wordpress.com/ |
