Comments: Must be careful to replace shoes regularly. Consider covering feet with vaseline?? Had very bad blisters. What would you do differently?: Obviously, more training. Post race
Warm down: Not much to speak of. So tired couldn't do anything for some time. Not a lot in the way of food available as well. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Increase of weight Event comments: Would probably have rated it higher, except the heat was so hard to handle. I don't plan to do this one again. Put together race gear the night before.
Wake up at 3:15 for 4:00 am arrival time at start.
Get in line first thing for bathroom
Had to walk about .5 mile or more to start line. That was it. No time for anything else as it took an hour to get to the front of the bathroom line. Did a little stretch about a mile into the race. (Quads, etc.)
