Pre-race routine:

No real routine. Just took it all in.Enjoyed the sunshine. Set up my zone for transitions.

Made 'the walk' to the start. Did a very short jog and stretch.

Horrible. I panicked a little when my calf cramped when I hit the water. I had just taught myself to swim free style in Jan and it all went out the window... If you saw someone doing back stroke, freestyle and doggy paddle. That was me... embarassing. This was my first race however and am very pleased with over all finish. Feel I could have been in the top 10 had I ran harder. 40 out of 41 for swim.

Bike portion was an absolute blast. I loved flying down the staights with the back wind and I loved the push through the head wind. I did not have a computer but I know when I was flying down the back wind portion I was flying by people that seemed to just be standing still. :)

Nothing... maybe have a computer to see how fast I was going.

Mainly catching my breath and realizing I had to swim 200 meters. Little intimidated at the moment. T2 could have been shorter. Will be next time.
