Ironman Louisville extended through 2016

Awesome!  I was hoping they would do that.  I guess races that don't sell out in 30 minutes make just as much money as those that take 6 months to sell out.

Last year at IM Canada, I made a point to take my family to the small towns along the bike route to eat, tell the owners we appreciate the area hosting the event, etc.   I've also written letters to the local newspaper after smaller events thanking the general public for putting up with us and how much our family enjoyed their community.   Not sure how much those things help but figure it doesn't hurt.

Some people would complain if you hung 'em with a new rope!  Ask these same people if they are willing to pay higher taxes to bing revenue to their communities instead of bringing business and I bet they are not for that either.

The Trail of Tears motorcyle goes by my road and when they are coming thru, you just have to sit and wait.  So we just accept that and don't try to cross the road during the peak 2 to 3 hrs when they are coming by.
