Swim
Comments: Awesome Swim for me. :) I was done with 200 meters before I knew I was even ready to start swimming. The way back was a bit tougher, as I am a unilateral breather to the right, and that is where the chop was coming from. It was the first time I ever heard a race director say, "here is the first group of men off of the swim course." Sounded good. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: ok transition....was a little slow, but overall ok What would you do differently?: speed up a bit Bike
Comments: Good bike....tried to stay within myself and kept the cadence high What would you do differently?: other than get more fitness, not much Transition 2
Comments: Getting VFF on took a bit longer than regular shoes, but overall ok. VFF's felt like they had wooden planks in them for the first 1/4 mile. Soon realized those were my cold numb feet. ;) What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: PR on this run...I took 3 minutes off my time from last year. :) What would you do differently?: run more Post race
Warm down: just hung around and got my breath back What limited your ability to perform faster: fitness Event comments: Great race for me, and the RD and race were top notch. The race was fun, organized, and they gave out free burritos!! Best time I've had in a long time!!!!!! :) Thanks, Chris! Last updated: 2011-02-21 12:00 AM
