OK, I have no clue where else on the site to put this, so this seems to be the best place. :)

Do you find that when you accomplish something new, no matter how small, you're kinda ridiculously happy afterwards?

Today, I added running (My training started from ground zero) - just 5 minutes in the middle of my walk, but I didn't want to die at the end of the 5 minutes, and I actually felt GOOD. I was so jazzed I decided to hop on the rowing machine for 5 minutes the minute I got back in the house, so I had a mini-mini-brick today too!

Had that great wobbly-goofy-I-DID-something body feel afterwards, and I've not been able to get the grin off my face.

So, am I just the loony one?

Nope, you're not looney.   I get the same feeling after a great workout, particularly when I do more than I thought I could.  You'll be surprised at what you can do once you decide to try.  Keep up the good work!

LOVE that feeling! I had it as soon as I got out of the lake on my first triathlon and couldn't get the stupid grin off of my face for the rest of the race!

Nice work on your mmbrick!

If only we could find a way to bottle that feeling and pass it around... or save it for later!

I am completely the same way! For me it's the little milestones on (my former nemesis) the bike. I think the addictive nature of the sport is the opportunity for these moments when you are trying to master three different sports.

Congrats!

Congrats!!!! That is great to hear. I remember how happy I was back when I actually completed a 2.8 mile loop around my local forest preserve and completely suprised myself. Those little victories really keep you going. Great job today! You should be proud.

I have been known to dance in my driveway and yell out my little victories. I don't care what the chain smoking neighbor across the street thinks. My next door neighbor is in awe of me and jealous and I am trying to get her out with me. The only problem being her ancestory is Kenyan and she can smoke me walking.
