Keeping bikes safe on the Ferry....

New user 3 |  Subject: Keeping bikes safe on the Ferry....Just a question because I'm still pretty new at this. Heading to Victoria this weekend for the Victoria Half and I've never brought expensive bikes on the ferry before. How safe is it? Any recommendations or should I just spend the trip in the car!??!! We have a hitch rack that clips over the tires. It comes with a cable lock that attaches to the hitch and we usually also lock the bikes together with something stronger.

Extreme Veteran 361   Kelowna, BC | Subject: RE: Keeping bikes safe on the Ferry.... I'm not one to ask because I rarely use our bike rack on the van. I'm always afraid someone is going to steal the bikes off the back, no matter where I go - ferry, parking lot at a restaurant, etc.... We took the seats out of the back of our van and carry our bikes inside for almost all trips. No worries. |
