Swim
Comments: Going by seed time has flaws as people lie. I had to pass 5-6 people during my swim and swam 25 seconds slower than my seed time. Pool was chaotic at times with 4 people passing in center. Overall I started off too fast with a 43 first 50, but I managed to hang on besides having problems passing people after the 150 mark. What would you do differently?: Make my seed time a little faster than expected, so hopefully I won't have any problems with other swimmers. Transition 1
Comments: Since it was my first tri, had a little shock getting out of the pool and running to transition zone, my body wanted to quit and throw up. Shirt went on fine, left shoe great, then my right shoe came. Insole curled up once, then a second time, then a third time, and finally I got my right shoe on correctly. Was frustrating but everything else in this transition went great. I must say I had one of the best rack locations in the transition zone. What would you do differently?: Maybe some powder in my shoe to prevent sticking, and I might super glue my insole down. Bike
Comments: Course was mostly flat, U-turns were not too bad, but some of the drains were dangerous for a bike and some areas had inch deep water and I have no clue where it came from. In all of my rides I have not been able to average 20mph+ so I was happy that I was above that, but I definitely have work to do here. I noticed everyone airing their bike tires up a bunch, mine were actually a little low and need to be aired up. Lost my water bottle during the ride, I was about to put it in the bottle holder when I had to swerve to dodge water and somehow I dropped my bottle. Was afraid I would be dq'd, but there was no way I was stopping. What would you do differently?: Train for the bike more and put a hose in my water bottle. Also air my tires up next time. Transition 2
Comments: Finished with a sharp turn and then had to stop and dismount instantly. I had no problem with that but was shocked by the jello feeling of my legs. I had my running shoes on so I racked my bike took helmet and sunglasses off and took off running. What would you do differently?: unclip helmet while running to rack Run
Comments: I was only passed by two people and I caught one of them on the finishing stretch. It was hard to push cause my butt hurt from biking and since no one was moving faster I wanted to maintain the pace I was at. I feel that I should have won the running in my age group, but since I have focused on the other parts I am happy with the result. What would you do differently?: Push a little harder. Post race
Warm down: Drank water and then a Dr. Pepper. Ran for 10 minutes to cool down and stretched. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough training, especially having this down week. Event comments: It was a fun event besides the swim. During the run volunteers had water, gatorade, wet towels, and soaked sponges. Last updated: 2011-05-30 12:00 AM

Had very little sleep as I made it to the hotel late and then dad snored all night. Ate peanut butter and crackers in morning and stretched well.
Swam 100 meters before and did some stretching then figured out where to go.
