Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Team Leopard Trek Official Thread GO ANDY GO!!!!!!!! Hey guys! I'm Melissa. From Edmonton, AB-- but currently in between there and Vancouver, BC for the summer with some random work stuff and school stuff. I have to hash out my biking goals for the Tour. Won't be exceptionally intense as I'm heading into taper with IMLP on the last day of the Tour! July 24! Hopefully Andy will defeat my arch nemesis Alberto-booooooooooooooooooo-and give me something exciting to think about during the Ironman! I have a Leopard Trek jersey...but it was caught somewhere random during the postal strike we had up here and now I'm anxiously waiting for its arrival...so for now I will have to deal with my Luxembourg champions jersey and my refurbished fav Andy picture! Veteran 136 Orlando, FL | Subject: RE: Team Leopard Trek Official Thread Hi all! I'm Peggy and I live in Orlando, FL. New to this challenge as I just started doing tris last summer. What do I do now? Is there a goal sheet somewhere that we have to fill in? My goal is 12 stages and 200 miles. Part of the tour I'll be travelling to TN for a tri in Chatanooga (next Sunday) so I'm tapering a bit this week. Hope to get a stage in today. |

Basically, you go ride your bike lots. Then you come back here and log your ride on the spreadsheet. (There's a link available in the 1st post of this thread.) And that's about it.... Oh, and expect 'smack talk' from some other teams. We're not saying who might do this, but it could happen. LOL The only 'real rule' is that we can't talk about the actual TdF stages for 24 hours, since we don't want to spoil anything for people who haven't seen the stage yet. Dee |

Extreme Veteran 745 | Subject: RE: Team Leopard Trek Official Thread Just finished my first stage - 22.95 miles. Nice afternoon ride. My goal is 15 stages and 300 miles. I figure this challenge would be a great way to up my bike miles. Good luck everyone. Bruce. |

Extreme Veteran 745 | Subject: RE: Team Leopard Trek Official Thread Looking a little lonely here. I'm right on track for meeting my goals. No ride this morning like I expected, but there will be one tomorrow and a longer one on Saturday. And next Sunday is an organized metric century. And maybe its just me, but the Tour seems more interesting this year. Best of luck boys and girls. |

Tiffin, Ohio | Subject: RE: Team Leopard Trek Official Thread Hello from Team Garmin. Our team is doing so well at both the real and virtual tours that I came over to spread the love to the team with the fewest posts. The chatter is one of the best things about the TdF challenge. Get cycling and get chattering. Ride, post, inspire, lather, rinse, repeat! |

Extreme Veteran 745 | Subject: RE: Team Leopard Trek Official Thread Had everything all set for a longer right this morning. Started a little later than I really wanted too. And then everything started to unravel: forgot to start my garmin, almost got right hooked by some old b@st@rd who couldn't wait ten seconds to make his turn. Then I flatted, fixed it ok, but when I was pumping it back up, the stem on the new tube broke in the pump. Couldn't put in my second tube because I couldn't get the stem out. Thankfully my darling wife picked me up and took me home. Quick trip to the bike shop for a new tube and maybe a better pump. Tuesday's ride: one lap of the IM Lake Placid bike course - I did a lap last year, and its a killer. Gonna be a great time.

How awesome that you were determined to keep going until it was impossible When I have days like that I think about those insane crashes the guys in the TDF have going 30+ miles an hour and then I feel better about my day...Good luck with your stage on Tuesday! |
