Subject: Multisports Canada - is the bike check mandatory?

What I said in the title.

I'm doing the Chestermere tri on Sunday.  Do I have to bring my bike in for a check?  I'm taking it to my LBS this week anyways to get things tightened and adjusted, so I won't be concerned about the safety of it.  Just wondering if I really need to get it to Bowcycle, or if that is optional?

We've done some of the Multisports races and the bike check has always been optional...

My husband is racing Chaparral, weather should be fabulous!
