Subject: RE: TT bike frame size (P3) Sorry but it's absolutely impossible to answer your question. If you take 3 people all the same height, could end up on 3 different sizes from the same manufacturer... and when you then add the factor of different manufacturers to the mix, all bets are off.
The reason why is very simple... each person will be very different. Body geometry, i.e. length of arms, legs, upper body, lower body, etc. etc.; flexibility and core strength, how low can you go and can you keep your position there without loosing power; type of racing, short course/long course; previous/current injuries; terrain, flat, windy, rolling hills, steep but short climbs, long but gradual climbs, steep and long climbs; etc. etc. etc.
Keep in mind that a 51cm bike will vary vastly from manufacturer to manufacturer as there's no standard to how a bike size is measured, or for that matter, what a given number size actually means in terms of dimensions... |
