Won this race on Active. When I got there I saw how many hills there were so I changed my strategy a bit. 1st mile had downhills so it was my fastest. Prob was in 20th place through 1st mile but I knew the people would be dropping off just by the fast pace. Came around mile 2 and started passing people. Up and down hills the whole way so it was hard to keep a consistent pace. A few out and backs so I could see who was in front. Didn't look like any in my age group so I was trying to move up overall. There was a guy and his 2 little dogs up ahead and there was no way I was going to let them beat me. Passed them in the last half mile. Was trying to catch this one guy the whole time bu he just got me for 9th.

Ended up 1st place age and 10th overall with a P.R. of over a minute on 1500 feet of climbing

Fun, close to home and pretty small. Maybe 300 people over all.
