Just an idea.... keeping track of threads....

Master  1480    Southwest Chicago 'burbs Bronze member |  Subject: Just an idea.... keeping track of threads....Was just thinking about this and thought I'd toss it out there.... I'd love for there to be a section in my Training Log where I could "watch" threads of my choosing. For example, when I logged on, I would see an entry for each thread that I choose, and see how many new responses there were since the last time I viewed the thread. And the list of threads would be customizable -- not just threads that I started, or ones that I posted to, but any that I wanted to keep an eye on. This would be a help when I'm trying to discreetly browse during work hours....  |

Not for nefarious purposes, but to rememberr who said what-- I sometimes get PM's and inspires and I can;t rememerb how I know taht person, and i would like to go back and be reminded... |

There is a way to see a person's posts -- if you go to Search, you can put in a persons username and then search for "All Posts" (which, by the way, doesn't necessarily seem to retrieve ALL posts, but they go back quite a ways). But - I wouldn't mind seeing a link to a person's posts directly from their training log, either. Maybe a button next to the Album button? (by the way, nice use of "nefarious" from the Cup of Joe thread out there... ) |

Some forums show the threads that you have posted in and threads already read (and there are no new posts) using different symbols/colors. It's really helpful when skimming through and trying to find the one thread that I posted in. |
