Run
Comments: The rain completely killed the enthusiasm for the run. There was so much water in the streets that the runners were racing in the side yards, along sidewalks, balancing on the curbs. . . it was absolutely crazy! What would you do differently?: Nothing. Its hard to be disappointed when you do a 5K race less than 48 hours after doing a 10 mile lactate threshold run. I ran the race in honor of the three firefighters killed in the line of duty a few years ago so race times are really inconsequential. Paying my respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice was the important thing for me. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Well the rain didn't help thats for sure Event comments: Again - the actual run is the least important part of the race. Paying tribute to the firefighters was the important thing to do. And the after-race party that the township threw was beyond belief!!! Definately worth the time and commitment to do every year.
