Extreme Veteran  604   Northwest Ohio |  Subject: Gadgets!I should admit up front that I am NOT a gadget person, but... I just survived an 1,100 mile road trip with my 18-year-old son. I rode with him in his car and will fly back. So...right before the trip he bought a new CD player for his car that has a remote control. This is a Mustang. I was like, "Geez! How hard is it to move your hand 12 inches to change the channel or the volume?" But he was soooooo excited that he could change the volume and the bass and the channel, etc. with just a touch of the button on his remote, without having to move his hand.... Am I missing something? Do you think a remote for your car stereo makes sense? |

Champion 6539 South Jersey | Subject: RE: Gadgets! Yeah, my boyfriend had a remote for the stereo in his old car...it never made sense to me either. He would drive the remote in his lap and then just pick it up whenever he needed to change the channel, volume, etc. His car was only seat-seater, though...so, the back seat logic doesn't apply to him. I must admit, though, my next car will have the radio controls on the steering wheel...I love that feature. |
