My first 8k. Not sure why I never wrote a race report for this. Anyway, it was hard, hot, and smelly. Vendors for Grand Old Day (biggest block party ever) were already grilling and smells I normally would have liked made me feel sick to my stomach. Walked quite a bit, but was still happy to have run most and cross the finish line. BOP, but that was okay!
