Comments: Not having run since September 16th (Reach the Beach), I was disappointed in my time, but not surprised. I felt sluggish (the cold weather didn't help either). I missed my goal time by 4+ minutes. No shin splits - very pleased with this! What would you do differently?: Practice, practice, practice! Skip one shirt layer. Skip the jacket unless it was pouring out. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walking, trying to stay warm, juice, coffee, water, yogurt, donut. What limited your ability to perform faster: Limited training within the past month. Event comments: A fun race - and very close to home! Enthusiastic voluneteers and great snacks afterwards. I'll definitely do this one again! Last updated: 2005-10-21 12:00 AM

Soup, Heed (20 oz.), Hammer Gel (vanilla), stretching at home. Dressed very warm it was 45-50 degrees F. out and misting rain. Chilly! Wore my PVC jacket, long running pants, a long sleeve and short sleeve shirt, knit gloves, and a baseball hat.
Jogging to stay warm, stretching, concentrating on calves, quads.
