Swim
Comments: Swim stunk. I hated my mask. What would you do differently?: Start farther back and do more open water training Transition 1
Comments: No problems in trans or getting started Bike
Comments: This was terrible. I was not ready for this What would you do differently?: Get a real bike. Train a lot harder out doors. Bike training in the gym is a joke. Take a few million spin classes.. Transition 2
Comments: Transition is fine Run
Comments: Got a cramp in my side for the beginning part but powered through and actually had a fast run What would you do differently?: Drink less on the bike and in the lake (yes, tons of lake water) to prevent the cramps Post race
Warm down: hugged my wife and mom and dad, and toook a nice slow walk over to get a drink and some fruit. What limited your ability to perform faster: MY CRAPPY BIKE! AND NOT ENOUGH OUTDOOR BIKE TRAINING WITH HILLS. SWIM MASK. Event comments: Well organized. The sign in and t-shirt pick up seemed to be a little un-ruly. No real post race other than some drinks and oranges and banannas and bagels. Overally a good experience Last updated: 2004-04-12 12:00 AM
