Not in Wyoming now, but I grew up there and will be spending four weeks in Casper this summer. Already found a pool to swim in while I'm there and am now trying to figure out a good place to ride. Glad there's a couple BTers in the state!

When I made this thread I lived in Cheyenne. Stayed there for five years, and lived in Jackson Hole for two years prior to that. I miss the scenery, not the lung-searing 6000+ altitude training every day....

Left Cody not too long ago, but now I'm just over the border to the east.  I guess it could be worse, I could of ended up in CO instead of SD.

I just joined and I live here in Wyoming. I am in Shell though, northern Wyoming.

We are multiplying now.  What do we have 8 posts in Wyoming now?  ahahhahah   If anyone is in central or western WY give me a shout.  I am always up for a run or a bike.

Hey, I'm in Gillette!  Just starting out, hoping to do the Sprint here in Gillette, either the sprint in Buffalo or Cody and hopefully the Irongirl in Boulder in August.  I really need to sign up for the Boulder one before it fills up.

I am from Laramie and a complete newbie to triathalons - my first will be the the Cheyenne sprint triathlon this July - that is if the lake is still not frozen!!

Have just started training - excellent swimmer very poor at everything else.  Hopefully, the snow will melt soon and I will be able to get out and do some training rides/runs soon!

Just checked the IM California 70.3 list. Looks like only me and one more from wyoming. Just wondering if anyone else is signed up for a race thisw yr.

I am new to triathlons and swimming is my better  (way better) of the three sports as well. Live in Laramie and plan to do the Cheyenne sprint triathlon as my first real race.  Hopefully, neither of us will blow away by the wind first. Good luck and best wishes!

Thanks. Best of wishes to you as well. summer seems less windy, so I think we will be ok. Maybe after some more training I bike from my house on Happy Jack to Laramie - I think I need some more training before I can make it over the summit though . Although the way back would be fun. 

June 12th Ironman 70.3 Boise who's with me ! Driving out from Rock Springs. You can hop along for a ride since im going anyways. I can fit a couple people with plenty of room to spare. Lemme know don't be shy! I can also get a rack for an extra bike.

I am from Wyoming too.  I have been lurking for about a year and figured I might as well log in!  I did my first triathlon (Cheyenne Sprint) last year.  This site was invaluable in my preparation!

New to the Triathlon scene. I train mostly in Cody and Jackson Hole. I am hoping to enter several of the Wyoming Mulit-Sport Challenges this summer. I figure that would be a great intro to Triathlons. Glad to see so many others from Wyo taking on the challenges of Triathlon!
